My first week back in school

It's been two years and this is the first semester of my final year. What I have learned about myself in the past two years is that I tend to overthink when it comes to our projects and forget to just delve into the processes explore freely and most importantly be myself. Now that I realise this one of my goals this year is to approach my project giving more importance to the process. And another one of my goals is to embrace a topic that really intruges me and learn a new skill while also using the skillset that I have built so far.

What is it that I intend to explore this year?

The reason I had joined design was due to my interest in Storytelling. So I decided to explore that area. However I was also interested in technique based explorations like Computer Generated Imagery (CGI) and Visual Effects (VFX) and how Artificial Intelligence (AI) plays a role in it. I had submitted an RPO about my interest in the use of CGI and AI in advertising, Advertising being one of my other interests, however I also want my project to be a bit experimental so I decided to go ahead with exploring the softwares used to apply CGI and VFX in works. I had always wanted to learn CGI and VFX due to my interest in animation. But I was specifically more interested in the role of AI in these things due to this video that I came across. While I was going through the list of keywords to identify my project with, I came across ‘Immersive storytelling’ which also got me a bit interested in how I can make my explorations to be immersive so I decided to explore with Augmented Reality (AR).

I had gone back home due to a medical emergency so there was not much that I had done in these two weeks. I was starting to get a little nervous because I was still struggling to drive my interests into a research topic.
